South Gloucestershire Conservatives
Welcome to the online home of South Gloucestershire Conservatives. The 2007 local elections saw a decisive switch to local Conservatives. The Conservatives gained seats in Bradley Stoke, Filton, Frenchay, Parkwall, Rodway, Stoke Lodge and Stoke Park. The elections saw the Liberal Democrats virtually wiped out, coming third in many areas, and they now have their smallest ever number of Councillors on South Glos.
South Glos Conservative leader, John Calway, commented, "We ran a positive local campaign with a strong team spirit and the support of so many people. The new Conservative Council is working hard to deliver improvements for everyone throughout South Glos."
